This lot was harvested from several parcels of land that comprise the greater Las Moritas farm in San Antonio la Paz. A less commonly explored coffee region of Guatemala just miles outside of the capital, the area is part of the rugged Sierra de las Minas range, renowned for its vast deposits of jade and marble that have been mined there for centuries.

Established by the Omran family in in western Oromia, Abana Estate This washed Sulladjah lot is a curated selection of that heirloom varieties planted across the farm, honoring Ethiopia's legacy as the birthplace of wild Arabica coffee. Named after the farm’s highest point—at , meters amidst lush forests and a clear mountain spring—Sulladjah embodies the estate's harmonious connection to its surroundings. It is a vibrant coffee layered with stone fruit and floral notes.

In , we expanded upon the concept of our Extraordinary Coffee Workshop, an event that brings our global Direct Trade network, and convened a coffee quality event for smallholder cooperatives in Guatemala that we called Intelligentsia ECWx. We were impressed with the three women from La Libertad, Huehuetenango who represented the Coopesqui cooperative, and even more impressed with the coffee they offered us.

With Marysabel and Moisés now at the helm, the storied Caballero family farm is in good hands — together, they have produced an astounding lots that have reached the CoE finals, earning their spot as the most decorated coffee growers in the history of the prestigious Honduras Cup of Excellence competition. The Caballeros have been growing Geisha, the world's most elegant and most celebrated cultivar, since . This lot was harvested from a high-elevation pine grove with a cool climate known as Las Virginias.

This lot was grown by smallholder farmers who are part of METAD's Kirite network in the Guji region of Oromia. It is an elegant coffee with floral aromatics and notes of fresh peach, sweet meyer lemon, and hibiscus.

José Alarcón and Zobeida Coronel moved to San José del Alto in with their four young children to start a small coffee farm. Over the past years, both the family and the farm have flourished. Today, Finca La Palestina is a thriving operation, home to three generations of the Alarcón Coronel family who collectively manage the farm under a shared vision of quality. This lot was cultivated on a section of the farm managed by Juan Alarcón and features a blend of traditional varieties.

Established over years ago in Kirinyaga, Central Kenya, Faith Estate serves as both Cecilia Wanjiku Haniel's farm and the hub of a network she created that connects the work of neighboring small estates. While each estate grows coffee independently, they unite to share best practices for cultivating, processing, and selling exceptional coffees. As a leader of this collective, Cecilia ensures selective hand-picking of coffee cherries, followed by proper dry fermentation and washing protocols before the coffee is carefully dried on raised beds. By processing their coffees at a centralized location, Faith Estate farmers benefit from improved infrastructure and more precise protocols, allowing them to develop the highest quality possible. This lot features an AB selection, one of Kenya’s top quality grades. It is a vibrant coffee, brimming with tropical fruit and juicy citrus notes.

Through the years, Mauricio has carried on the dream of his father, earning La Maravilla international acclaim, including multiple wins in Guatemala's prestigious Cup of Excellence competition. This lot reflects Mauricio’s ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence on the farm. Inspired by the renowned SL- variety commonly grown in Kenya, he planted these seeds at La Maravilla to explore how they would adapt to its unique terroir. The result is a vibrant, juicy cup that pays homage to its Kenyan origins.
